Q+ INNOVATION PORTFOLIO

ProtectQ+

Protect Potential

ProtectQ+ is an agricultural biostimulant developed to help crops maintain healthier growth and fruit quality under challenging field conditions, with a particular focus on sunburn protection and resilience.

PROTECT MORE OF WHAT YOU GROW

Healthier growth. Better resilience.

High temperature, intense solar radiation and related physiological stress can reduce the proportion of fruit that reaches marketable quality. ProtectQ+ is positioned to help protect crop potential through these periods.

WHY PROTECTION MATTERS

Field stress becomes a quality and marketability problem.

1 · Environmental StressHeat and strong solar exposure challenge developing fruit.
2 · Visible DamageSunburn, cracking and quality loss can reduce packout.
3 · Lost PotentialMore fruit may fall outside the desired marketable grade.
4 · Protect PotentialProtectQ+ is designed to support resilience and preserve quality.

FIELD EVIDENCE

Less cracking. Less damage. More marketable fruit.

ProtectQ+ field evidence is presented by crop and trial. Different evidence sets are kept distinct rather than merged into one trial narrative.

Santina Cherry · Chile · 2024–2025

44.8→30.6
Cracking Index (IC)

Trial design: Control vs ProtectQ+ 300 cc hL⁻¹ ×3 vs competitor 100 g hL⁻¹ ×3.

Application dates: 18 Nov · 25 Nov · 2 Dec 2024.

Fruit diameter, fruit weight and °Brix did not show statistically significant differences in the supplied report.

Shine Muscat · Gimcheon, Korea · 2022

Control and ProtectQ+ Shine Muscat field comparison

28.5%→12.3%
Cracking incidence · 56.8% lower

Trial program: 3 L/ha · 3 applications · May 10 · May 24 · Jun 10, 2022.

Fuji Apple · Andong, Korea · 2022

17.2%→7.1%
Crack + sunburn damage · 58.7% lower

56.5%→76.5% normal fruit
2,351→2,842 kg total harvest

Fuji Apple · Korea & China · 2022

Control and ProtectQ+ Fuji apple replicated field comparison

23.8%→63.5%
High-quality fruit · +39.7 percentage points

Evidence set: Average of 3 replicated trials. High-quality fruit was defined in the trial material as fruit over $50/box.

Results are trial-specific. Crop, cultivar, site, season, rate and application program can affect performance.

HOW PROTECTQ+ SUPPORTS PROTECTION

A practical protection concept, grounded in the supplied technical materials.

The current technical materials describe ProtectQ+ as a phospholipid-based biostimulant supporting membrane condition, fruit-surface protection and crop resilience under environmental stress. These are support functions rather than a single proven molecular mechanism.

1 · Membrane SupportPhospholipid components are positioned to support membrane integrity and homeostasis.
2 · Fruit Surface & CuticleThe technical concept emphasizes moisture regulation, surface condition and cuticle elasticity in cracking-prone conditions.
3 · Stress ResponseDesigned for field situations involving heat, strong sunlight and moisture fluctuation.
4 · Marketable QualityThe field objective is to reduce visible damage and retain a higher proportion of marketable fruit.

Technical wording is intentionally conservative: the supplied materials support this functional concept, but do not establish one complete molecular pathway for ProtectQ+.

2026 PRODUCT STORY

Protect Potential

The current ProtectQ+ brochure brings the product positioning, target benefits and visual identity together as part of the Q+ Innovation Portfolio.

ProtectQ+ is presented as an Agricultural Biostimulant. It is intentionally positioned separately from FruitQ+ and is not presented as an LPE-powered product.

WHAT THE FIELD EVIDENCE SHOWS

Protection expressed across different crops.

The current evidence base includes rain-induced cherry cracking, grape cracking and apple crack + sunburn damage, together with a separate replicated apple quality evaluation.

  • Santina cherry · Chile · 2024–2025 · Cracking Index 44.8 → 30.6
  • Shine Muscat · Gimcheon · 2022 · Cracking 28.5% → 12.3%
  • Fuji apple · Andong · 2022 · Crack + sunburn 17.2% → 7.1%
  • Fuji apple · Korea & China · 2022 · High-quality fruit 23.8% → 63.5%

Evidence interpretation

Each result is presented with its own crop, location, year and trial context. The separate Fuji apple evidence sets are not combined into a single trial claim.

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Crop-specific programs, built from evidence.

ProtectQ+ application timing and rate should be matched to crop, climate, stress pressure and production system. Nutra-Park is building practical programs from field evaluation rather than applying one universal schedule to every crop.

Important: Crop-specific rates and schedules shown in development trials should not automatically be treated as universal recommendations. Please contact Nutra-Park for the current program for your crop and market.

Priority field situations

  • High solar radiation
  • High-temperature periods
  • Sunburn-sensitive fruit
  • Cracking-prone conditions
  • Premium fresh-market production
